Brody’s Work on Both Ends Secures Point on the Road

Man of the Match: RSL Homegrown Andrew Brody was pivotal on both ends of the pitch in securing the point on the road to keep the Claret-and-Cobalt in the playoff hunt. Brody recorded his sixth assist of the 2022 season while also leading the Club in shots and shots on target with two apiece. The defender also won three of his four duels, earning the highest duel percentage of the match with 75% and tallying two tackles.


Telling Stat: Goalkeeper Zac MacMath’s save against midfielder Riqui Puig’s penalty kick was his third of the season, second-most in MLS only behind New England Revolution goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic. MacMath’s contribution between the posts proved to be crucial in earning the point on the road, securing six additional assists along with his first-half penalty save.

What You Missed: In the final road match of the season, Real Salt Lake kept its 2022 playoff hopes alive, playing to a 1-1 draw against the LA Galaxy. RSL Homegrowns Andrew Brody and Aaron Herrera each earned assists while forward Sergio Cordova found the net with a redirected header for his Club-leading ninth goal of the 2022 campaign. Furthermore, goalkeeper Zac MacMath nearly beat his career best eight saves, earning seven, six of which came in the first half.
