Petes Defeat Erie Otters 5-4 in a Shootout at the PMc

(Peterborough, ON) – It was a night of milestones on Thursday night at the PMC as head coach Rob Wilson got his 100th career OHL win and Seattle Kraken prospect, Tucker Robertson, scored his 50th career OHL goal and 100th career OHL point as the Petes hosted the Erie Otters in their 2022-23 season and home opener. The Petes would go on to win 5-4 in a shootout.
Connor Lockhart led the way with three assists in the game, Nick Lardis had two goals, Tucker Robertson had a goal and an assist, Donovan McCoy had two assists, and Michael Simpson stopped 32 of 36 in the win.
Game Recap:
First Period: Erie scored twice in the first six minutes on goals from Christian Kyrou and Bruce McDonald. Petes forward Tucker Robertson scored to put the Petes within one going into the second.
Second Period: Nick Lardis scored his first of the season to tie the game at 2-2. Brett Bressette would score for Erie later in the period to put the Otters up 3-2 heading into the second intermission.
Third Period: The Otters would extend the lead to 4-2 in the first minute of the third on a goal from Casey Terrance. Justin DeZoete scored to make it 4-3. Nick Lardis would follow, scoring his second of the game to tie it up at 4-4 and send the game to overtime.
Overtime solved nothing and the game would go to a shootout:
