2022-2023 New Mexico Ice Wolves Name Captains

Will Howard – Captain
Will Howard is a forward out of Grand Forks, ND. Howard is in his third season with the NM Ice Wolves. In 2020-2021 Howard played in 31 games while scoring 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists). In the 2021-2022 campaign Howard had 56 regular season games played and racked up 42 points (18 goals, 24 assists). In the NM Ice Wolves Robertson Cup Playoff run Howard had 4 goals and 2 assists in 13 games played. Through 10 games played so far this season, Howard leads the team in points with 15 and goals with 10. Howard is committed to play Division 1 hockey at Augustana University next fall. Howard will wear a “C” for the NM Ice Wolves this season.
Jeff Hutchinson – Captain
Jeff Hutchinson is a defensemen out of St. Louis, MO. In his third year with the NM Ice Wolves Hutchinson has played in 104 regular season games. Through those games he has scored 27 points (8 goals, 19 assists). Hutchinson was one of five members from the 21-22 Ice Wolves team to be selected for the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament. In the 21-22 Robertson Cup Run Hutchinson played in 13 games and scored a goal. Hutchinson will wear a “C” for the NM Ice Wolves this season.
JD Metz- Alternate Captain
JD Metz is a forward out of Mahtomedi, MN. Metz is in his second year with the team. In his rookie year in 21-22 Metz played in 54 games and scored 17 points (11 goals, 6 assists). Following the regular season Metz played in 13 playoff games and had 2 assists. This season Metz averages over a point a game and leads the team in assists with 9. Metz will wear an “A” for the NM Ice Wolves this season.
Nikolai Dulak – Alternate Captain
Nikolai Dulak is a forward out of Mahtomedi, MN. Dulak has been with the Ice Wolves since the 2019-2020 season. Throughout that time he has played in 99 regular season games. 22 goals and 44 assists for the Ice Wolves put his total at 66 points. During the 21-22 NM Ice Wolves Robertson Cup run Dulak played in 7 games and had an assist. Dulak was an Alternate Captain for the 21-22 season and will be an Alternate Captain during the 2022-2023 season.
